## Materials and certifications

- Latex: organic Dunlop latex made from the sap of organically grown rubber trees in Sri Lanka, certified to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), which requires at least 95% certified organic raw latex. No synthetic latex, no blends, no fillers. Dunlop latex is denser and more supportive than Talalay at a given firmness and holds its shape longer.
- Exception: the Organic Latex Hybrid Mattress uses FSC-certified natural Talalay latex, which is natural but not GOLS certified.
- Testing: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (tested for harmful substances), eco-INSTITUT (German laboratory certification for VOCs, heavy metals and harmful substances in finished latex), LGA (German physical-properties and durability testing). The Organic Latex Pillow also carries GREENGUARD Gold.
- Wool: natural New Zealand wool as the fire barrier in mattresses; we use no chemical flame retardants and no fiberglass.
- Cotton: organic cotton covers; mattress and topper covers are zippered and removable.
- Turmerry is a Green America Certified Business.
