Organic latex seat cushion
Our Latex Donut Pillow is a ring of firm, high-density GOLS certified organic Dunlop latex in a zippered organic cotton cover. The hole in the center means your tailbone isn't pressed against the seat, while the ring keeps your hips level. Sit on it and lean forward slightly.

High-density Dunlop latex gives steady, even support for long hours of sitting, and springs back instead of flattening. With good care, it lasts five years or more.

Latex has an open-cell structure, and the perforations on the underside let heat and moisture escape.

Light and easy to carry, so you can take it from your desk chair to the dining table, the car or the couch.
How to use it
One size, 16 inches across and 3.5 inches tall, with a firm feel.

Center the hole under your tailbone and lean forward a little, so your weight rests on the ring.

It fits office chairs, dining chairs, car seats and sofas, and it's light enough to move around.

Lie on your side with your ear in the opening, so it isn't pressed into the pillow.
What's inside

Latex starts as the milky sap of rubber trees. It's whipped, poured into a mold and baked using the Dunlop method, which makes a dense, supportive, durable foam. We use GOLS certified organic latex, molded into one solid, high-density ring.

Smooth, soft and breathable. The cotton is grown without toxic pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers, and the zipper lets you take the cover off to spot-clean it.

Care
Pro tip: a washable pillow cover makes care much easier, and keeps spills, dust and allergens off the latex. Shop pillow covers →
Neither the cover nor the latex is machine washable. Take the cover off, dab the spot on each with a sponge, cold water and mild detergent, and let both dry fully before you zip it back up.
Long exposure to direct sunlight, or heat above 85°F, breaks latex down and shortens its life.
Latex can tear if it's pulled hard. Unpack it gently, and ease the pillow in and out of its cover.
Vacuum the surface about once a month, avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills right away.
Latex is the white, milky sap harvested from rubber trees. It’s turned into foam and used in pillows, mattresses, mattress toppers, bedding, etc., for its comfort and durability. What makes latex stand out is that it’s a natural, renewable material, especially when it’s certified organic (by GOLS). Rubber trees can be tapped for years without being cut down, which makes latex a more sustainable choice compared to synthetic foams made from petroleum.
The different types of latex are -
When someone says "latex," they're not necessarily talking about the natural stuff from rubber trees. It could be synthetic, blended, or natural - the term alone doesn't tell you much.
If a product is labeled "organic latex" or "natural latex," don't just take their word for it. Ask to see certifications that prove its purity. Companies that use genuine organic/natural latex are usually happy to display their certifications, as they take pride in the quality.
A donut pillow is a round seat cushion with a hole in the center. The hole means your tailbone and the area around it aren't pressed against the seat when you sit.
A regular seat cushion spreads your weight across its whole surface. A donut pillow moves your weight onto the outer ring, so the center is left free. Many people use one to sit more comfortably through long hours at a desk, in the car or at home.
Our latex donut pillows can last 5+ years with good care. They don’t flatten out and lose shape the way cheaper synthetic pillows do. The natural resilience of latex keeps them comfortable, night after night, without the early sag you get with most regular donut pillows.
No, don’t put your latex donut pillow in the washing machine. Soaking it in water or tossing it in a wash cycle can damage the foam and break it down over time.
If it needs cleaning, spot-clean only. Here’s how -
Mix a little mild detergent with warm water. Dip a clean cloth/sponge in the solution, gently blot the stain, and avoid rubbing too hard. Then, use another damp cloth/sponge to wipe away any soap residue. Let the pillow air dry completely, but keep it out of direct sunlight.
To keep it cleaner longer, we recommend using a protector cover.
For a donut pillow, no. Solid latex is the better choice. It provides the steady support needed to keep your hips lifted and upright.
Shredded latexis much softer and shifts around inside the cover. Because of that, it tends to sink more and won’t give you the stable base you need for sitting upright comfortably.
A Dunlop latex core and a Talalay latex core are made differently and feel different as a result. Dunlop latex is made by whipping natural rubber sap into a froth, pouring it into a mold all at once, and baking it. As it bakes, the heavier particles settle toward the bottom, which gives Dunlop a denser feel. It produces a durable foam that offers strong support, which is why we use it in our pillows.
Talalay latex goes through a few extra steps. After the sap is poured into the mold, it’s partially filled, then vacuum-sealed to evenly distribute the foam. It’s flash-frozen, then baked. This process creates a fluffier latex with soft density that feels more airy and plush.
If you like a denser, more supportive feel, a Dunlop latex pillow is the way to go. If you prefer more cushioning and consistency, a Talalay latex pillow might be more your style.
No, it won't. Latex has an open-cell structure, which means air can move through it more freely than with dense, synthetic foams like memory foam. On top of that, we add small perforations throughout the bottom of the pillow. This helps heat and moisture escape instead of getting trapped inside.
The cover matters, too. Ours is made from breathable organic cotton, which doesn’t trap heat like polyester blends often do.
All in all, organic latex is temperature-neutral, which means it doesn’t overheat or feel too cold. It just stays comfortably cool throughout, especially compared to memory foam and other conventional pillows that trap body heat.
Many people find it does. The ring keeps your hips more level while you sit, so your pelvis stays in a better position and your lower back doesn't have to work as hard.
A cushion isn't a medical treatment, so if you have ongoing pain, talk to your doctor.
In a lot of ways, yes. Latex donut pillows are better at cooling, more responsive and supportive, and last longer than memory foam.
Memory foam donut pillows tend to feel stuffy and slow to respond. They also hold onto heat, which can make you feel warmer after a while.
Plus, if you go with organic latex, you get a natural, plant-based material instead of a synthetic foam.
When it’s brand new, you might notice a light, vanilla-like scent. That’s just the natural smell of latex. It’s not toxic or chemical like the scent of memory foam, and it usually fades within a few days. Just airing the pillow out for a bit will help it clear up faster.
An additional cover is optional, but we recommend adding one, yes. It helps protect your donut pillow from spills, stains, and everyday wear, keeping it fresher for longer. Go with something breathable, like an organic cotton cover or a bamboo cover, so you don’t lose that cool feel latex is known for.
Nope. The latex donut pillow doesn’t need any fluffing. It’s a single solid piece of latex foam that holds its shape on its own. No squishing or refluffing needed.
Yes, you can definitely do so. Our donut pillows are made to work on all kinds of chairs.
Look for certifications that are trusted and verified. The big ones are -
If a latex donut pillow has a mix of these, you’re getting one of the best there is.
