Full Latex Mattress Toppers

At Turmerry, we've got two types of latex all-foam toppers in full size. The first one is an organic mattress topper with organic cotton machine washable cover, (optional add-on). The second one is natural mattress topper.

The difference lies in the fact that the organic toppers are made from organically grown rubber trees, and the natural toppers are made from rubber trees that are not grown organically. The process of making both types of finished products are same, though. The pinholes on these toppers are in 5 zones, with minute differences in the firmness for different body parts.

Both the organic and natural toppers are eco-INSTITUT, Oeko-Tex, and LGA certified. The organic mattress toppers do have GOLS certification in addition to the above.

Full Egg Crate Mattress Topper

Certified by GOLS, Oeko-Tex, eco-INSTITUT, and LGA, the Turmerry full latex egg crate mattress topper provides support, relieves pressure points, and assists in a good night's sleep.

Our egg crate mattress topper is ideal for all kinds of sleepers and for all sleeping positions. Its convoluted design is preferred for sleeping much cooler than other kinds of toppers.

People who sleep hot, bedridden patients, and people who spend a lot of their time binge-watching their favorite shows find this kind of egg crate foam mattress topper very useful.

Full Wool Mattress Pad

With a 1" thickness, this stylish and natural mattress pad is ideal for a bouncy night's sleep. It's reversible, machine washable, and features two sides of quilted fleece and cotton/wool. With the materials being so cozy and soft, the Turmerry wool mattress pad keeps you warm and cool against your skin both in the winter and the summer.

Why Choose Turmerry Full Mattress Topper?

Natural and Organic

With Turmerry full mattress toppers, you can sleep peacefully, knowing you and your family are safe from toxic chemicals. We make our toppers from materials sourced directly from mother nature, so they're free from pesticides, fertilizers, and other potentially harmful chemicals commonly found in traditional options, such as a memory foam mattress topper.

Exceptional Comfort and Support

Whether you go for the latex option, which is known for its superior support and pressure relief, or the wool variety, which provides unparalleled comfort, you'll be able to find just what your sleeping needs require. It's unlike any other mattress topper out there; specially designed for those who want an upgrade in comfort without having to purchase a whole new bed set.

Highly Durable and Resilient

We offer you the ultimate sleeping experience. Our latex toppers are made of high-density Dunlop latex foam that is designed to retain its shape even after frequent use, while the wool mattress pads are made with a thick wool fabric that is breathable and resistant to wear and tear.

Variety of Firmness

At Turmerry, we have perfected our mattress toppers into a variety of firmness levels. With our latex mattress toppers, you can choose from soft, medium, or firm. If you decide to go with an egg crate mattress, you will have the option to choose from soft and medium firmness levels.

Multiple Thickness Levels

With us, you can choose the thickness that best suits your needs. We offer latex mattress toppers in thicknesses ranging from 2 inches to 4 inches, as well as egg crate mattress toppers in thicknesses of 2.4 inches and 1.4 inches. The mattress toppers that measure 1.4 and 2 inches are intended for sleepers who want a light layer of cushioning, while the models that measure 2.4, 3, and 4 inches will provide a firmer surface.

Cooler and Breathable

With Turmerry mattress toppers, you won't need to fret about getting too hot during the night, as both our wool and latex options have been designed with breathability in mind. The perforated surface of our latex topper ensures ventilation while providing plush cushioning at the same time, making them the most considerable choice for those who struggle with overheating during sleep. Additionally, our wool mattress pad has natural insulating properties, which help to keep the body warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Suitable for All Sleep positions

Whether you like to sleep on your side, back, stomach, or a combination of all, we've got you covered. Browse our range of mattress toppers to find the right one for you and your partner.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly

Our mattress toppers are sourced directly from rubber trees and are put through stringent certification processes, making sure that they exemplify excellence as well as sustainability. Not only do our mattress toppers bear the hallmarks of environmental friendliness, but we also ensure that another tree is planted with each mattress topper you purchase!

Turmerry Full Mattress Topper Certifications

Turmerry Organic Dunlop latex mattress toppers are GOLS, eco-INSTITUT, and Oeko-Tex certified. These certifications prove that the latex we use is harvested from organically grown rubber trees.

The wool fill in our wool full mattress pads is Woolmark certified, and the cotton cover is Oeko Tex certified.

Unlike most mattress toppers, the whole process of harvesting, manufacturing, and selling our mattress toppers is based on our core principles of sustainability and eco-friendliness.

FAQs

What are the dimensions of a full size mattress topper in inches, centimeters, and feet?

Dimensions of a full size mattress topper in inches: 54 X 75 inches

Dimensions of a full size mattress topper in cm: 134.5 X 190.5 cm

Dimensions of a full size mattress topper in feet: 4.5 X 6.25 feet

Who should buy a full latex mattress topper?

A full mattress topper is suitable for individuals who have a full size mattress and want to enhance its comfort and support.

Toppers of this size can be particularly beneficial for:

  • Single sleepers

  • Dorm rooms

  • Sleepers who aren't satisfied with how their existing mattress feels

  • Sleepers who are sensitive to allergies or dust mites and need added protection for their mattress

  • Individuals who wish to increase the lifespan of their mattress by adding extra cushioning and support.

Is a mattress pad the same as a mattress topper?

While they may serve a similar purpose, mattress toppers and mattress pads aren't the same. A mattress pad is typically a thin layer of material that sits on top of the mattress, providing more cushioning and protecting against spills and stains. On the other hand, a mattress topper is thicker and more substantial, offering great support and potentially extending the lifespan of your current mattress top.

Is a full mattress topper good for couples?

A full mattress topper may not be the best choice for couples who share a bed, as it may not provide enough space for both individuals to sleep comfortably. A full mattress topper is designed to fit a full-size mattress, which typically measures 54 inches wide by 75 inches long.

If you are looking for the best mattress topper for couples, you may want to consider a larger size, such as a queen or king size topper, depending on the size of your bed. This will give you and your partner more space to move around and sleep soundly.

What are the common full mattress topper materials?

Latex, memory foam, gel memory foam, feather, and wool are some of the common mattress topper materials.

FULL Latex toppers

Durable, flexible, breathable, and the most comfortable, natural materials to sleep on - latex mattress toppers are one of the best mattress toppers in the US.

Latex toppers not only provide extra cushioning and support for those with pains and aches, but they also offer hypoallergenic properties if the right conditions exist. In fact, they can be considered best for allergy sufferers. And while there are synthetic and blended latex options on the market, it's important to note that they are made with harsh chemicals that aren't safe for you or the environment. Stick with a natural latex or organic latex mattress topper for ultimate comfort and peace of mind.

And don't worry about having to replace your natural and organic latex topper every year - with proper care and maintenance, they can last for decades.

Full Memory Foam Toppers

Another classic option is a memory foam topper, which conforms to the shape of your body for personalized comfort. The pressure-relieving material conforms to your body, providing cozy support and drastically reducing motion transfer, making it a pretty good choice for individuals who want undisturbed sleep.

If you're planning to buy one, make sure you go for a dense memory foam mattress topper, as the ones made with dense foam are much more durable and don't sag over time.

But while they offer unparalleled comfort, it has been reported that traditional memory foam retains too much heat, and there have been recent concerns about potential toxicity in the materials used to make it.

Full Gel Infused Memory Foam Toppers

A gel memory foam mattress topper offers all the benefits of traditional memory foam - providing pressure relief, support, and reducing motion transfer - with the added advantage of staying cool.

They are usually made up of a combination of memory foam and gel beads or foam that is infused with gel. The gel particles dispersed throughout the foam helps regulate temperature and alleviate heat buildup during sleep.

However, just like memory foam, gel-infused foam mattress toppers are said to have a very strong odor upon unpacking due to the off-gassing of chemicals used in manufacturing.

Full Feather Toppers

For those who prefer a more traditional feel, there's also down or feather fill, which adds softness and cushioning. These thick layers of feathers provide a soft cushion, trapping body heat to keep you warm at night. The feathers also distribute weight evenly, helping to eliminate pressure points.

However, it is important to note that feather mattress toppers can be difficult to clean and may not offer enough support for those with back pain or health concerns.

Full Wool Toppers

Filled with gentle natural fibers, wool toppers trap body heat to keep you warm at night without causing overheating. The material's remarkable moisture-resistant properties make it a hygienic option, helping to prevent sweat and stains on the underlying mattress. And as a natural fiber, it is safe and hypoallergenic for those with allergies or sensitive skin.

One downfall of wool is that the material has not proven to be as effective as foam alternatives in providing support or pressure relief. Therefore, in terms of the best option for those suffering from aches and pains, a wool topper may not be the one to consider.

What to look for when choosing the best full mattress topper?

Here are a few things that you must consider:

  • Size

Before you buy a full topper, make sure the mattress you own is of the same size.

A mattress topper that is too small may not provide even coverage, leading to discomfort and possibly impairing sleep. On the other hand, a mattress topper that is too large can be difficult to maneuver on the bed and may lead to bunching and unevenness.

  • Material

You get what you pay for - You might be tempted by that cheap foam model at the big store, but it may not provide the support and durability you need. Investing in a mattress topper made of high-quality materials can make all the difference in getting a good night's sleep.

Materials like natural latex offer not only longer lifespans but also improved performance in categories like pressure relief, temperature regulation, and motion absorption. Sure, they may come with a higher price tag, but when it comes to something as important as your sleep (and overall well-being), isn't it worth it?

  • Firmness level

When shopping for a topper, firmness may not immediately come to mind as a primary consideration. But did you know that the level of firmness can have a significant impact on sleep quality and comfort?

The firmness of a mattress topper is often subjective, as it largely depends on individual preferences and sleeping positions - Well, what feels firm to one person may feel soft to another. That being said, the initial feel or "hand test" can still provide helpful information when trying out a new mattress topper.

While some people may prefer the sinking feeling of a softer topper, others may desire more support from a firmer option. It's important for shoppers to keep in mind their sleep position, body weight, and any aches or pains they may have before making a decision on a firmness level.

Generally speaking, those who weigh less than 130 pounds may prefer a softer topper that contours more closely to their body. In contrast, heavier individuals may benefit from a firmer topper that offers better support. Additionally, side sleepers tend to need softer materials for cushioning, while back and stomach sleepers often prefer firmer options. However, it's always a good idea to test out different levels of firmness in person before making a final decision.

  • Thickness

You should also pay attention to the topper's thickness – A thicker topper can provide additional support and cushioning, while a thinner topper may not have as much impact on the feel of your bed.

It's also important to take the overall height of your bed into account as well. A thick topper on an already high bed may make it more difficult for you to get in and out, while a thin topper might not provide enough support on a very firm mattress.

  • Heat retention

Too much heat can disrupt sleep and leave you feeling uncomfortable, while not enough can make it difficult to stay warm at night. A good mattress topper should offer some level of insulation, helping to maintain a consistent temperature during sleep.

Many toppers are made from materials that tend to trap heat, resulting in a hot and uncomfortable sleeping surface. So, when selecting a mattress topper, be sure to carefully research materials and assess their ability to retain heat for a comfortable and restful night's sleep.

  • Mattress condition

Looking for a quick fix for your sinking mattress? Sorry to burst your bubble, but a mattress topper probably won't do the trick. Think of it this way: a played-out, lumpy mattress is like an old and crumbling cake. Sure, you could put the icing on top and make it look nice for a little while, but the broken-down foundation remains the same. The only real solution? Get yourself a new mattress.

  • Reviews

Choosing the right mattress topper can be difficult with so many brands and models on the market. You can get an idea of which full toppers are the best by reading reviews from other shoppers. You can also find out about potential problems that a particular model might have before you purchase it by reading reviews

  • Warranty

You'll want to ensure that your full latex topper is covered by a warranty. Latex mattress toppers are generally backed by a 3-year warranty, although some brands offer 5-year warranties. You can have more confidence in the quality of the mattress topper with a longer warranty.

  • Trial periods

Most reputable retailers offer a trial period of at least 30 days, during which you can return the mattress topper for a full refund if you are not satisfied. This gives you ample time to adjust to the new topper and decide whether it is comfortable and supportive enough for your needs.

Is it good to use an organic cotton cover for your full size mattress topper?

Using an organic cotton cover for your full size mattress topper is indeed a great option. Made from naturally-grown cotton, this cover reduces your exposure to chemicals often found in conventional cotton farming and production processes. Apart from being chemical-free, it's soft and breathable, thus ensuring a cooler night's sleep.

What is the best cooling mattress topper for a full size bed?

The best cooling mattress topper is one made of breathable materials like natural latex or wool. These materials will help regulate your body temperature during the night.

What is the best full mattress topper for back pain?

The best mattress topper for back pain is one that is thick and firm enough while at the same time that provides adequate cushioning, support, and pressure relief. Latex, egg crate, and memory foam toppers are often good options. However, it's important to keep in mind that memory foam is not 100% natural, healthy, and eco-friendly.

What is the best full mattress topper for hip pain?

The best full mattress topper for hip pain is one that is firm and supportive. A latex mattress topper of at least 3 inches thick is a good option as it conforms to your body and provides excellent support required for relieving hip pain symptoms.

What is the best full mattress topper for arthritis?

Arthritis is a common condition that can cause pain and stiffness in the joints. A good mattress topper can provide the much-needed support and cushion for that. Make a note of your sleep habits and preferences and type of arthritis. For example, people with osteoarthritis may benefit from a firmer option like latex, while those with rheumatoid arthritis may need a softer option.

The best among the lot is the egg crate foam topper. This type of foam has a series of raised ridges that help circulate air and reduce pressure on the joints.

What is the best full mattress topper for shoulder pain?

The best mattress topper for shoulder pain is the one with contoured surfaces that can cradle your shoulders and alleviate pressure points. When you are buying a topper specifically for shoulder pain, pay attention to the materials used. Some materials, such as natural latex, are particularly good at molding to the body, providing targeted support, and pressure point relief.

What is the best full mattress topper for athletes?

The best full mattress topper for athletes is the one that offers pressure relief, adequate support, right firmness, thickness, and cooling characteristics.

What is the best full mattress topper for side sleeping position?

If you're a side sleeper, choose a full mattress topper that's soft enough to provide pressure point relief for your hips and shoulders. Otherwise, you may wake up with pain in those areas. Also, make sure the topper is thick enough so that your body doesn't sink too deep into the mattress.

What is the best full topper for back sleepers?

If you're a back sleeper, choose a topper with the perfect balance of firmness and softness that keeps your spine aligned. A natural and organic latex mattress topper can be a good option, as it conforms to your body. A 2-inch thick topper should be sufficient for most people, but if you are looking for sharp pressure points, get a thicker one.

What is the best full mattress topper for stomach sleepers?

If you're a stomach sleeper, get a full mattress topper that is firm enough to prevent your body from sinking too deep into the mattress. Also, consider a mattress topper with a contoured design. It provides additional support for the neck and shoulders.

What is the best full mattress topper for heavy people?

If you're on the heavier side and looking for the best full mattress topper, consider getting a thicker option. A thicker mattress topper provides more support and cushioning. It also lasts longer since it is durable and doesn't sag much over time.

As far as materials go - natural latex, high-density memory foam, and egg crate are often good options for heavy people as they contour the body and provide good support. If you are eco-conscious or health-conscious, avoid Memory foam mattress toppers.

What is the best full mattress topper for allergy sufferers?

A natural and organic latex mattress topper is one safe option since latex is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites if the right conditions exist. A latex mattress topper is also breathable, which helps prevent the buildup of moisture and mold.

How long do mattress toppers last?

The lifespan of a mattress topper depends on its quality and how you use it. With proper care, most toppers will last for 3 to 5 years.

What are the standard mattress topper sizes?

Here are some of the most common standard US mattress topper sizes.

Twin mattress topper

A twin-size topper is designed to fit a twin-size mattress. It typically measures 38 inches long and 75 inches wide, making it a good choice for children's beds or for use in small spaces.

Twin XL mattress topper

Measuring 38 inches by 80 inches, a twin XL topper offers an extra 5 inches of length compared to a standard twin size. Twin XL toppers are often used in college dorm rooms, as they can accommodate students of different heights.

Full mattress topper

Standard full size toppers measure 54 inches wide by 75 inches long, making them a good fit for most full size mattresses. A full mattress topper is often a good choice for a single person who wants more sleeping space than a twin or twin XL.

Queen mattress topper

A queen size mattress topper is 60 inches wide and 80 inches long. It is the most popular size topper sold in the United States. A queen topper can be considered the best option for couples who want more room than full size offers but don't need the extra length.

King mattress topper

A king size mattress topper is one of the largest toppers available, measuring 76 inches wide by 80 inches long. King toppers are ideal for families who sleep together, couples who want space to move around, pet parents, and people who are taller than average.

California king mattress topper

The longest of the standard sizes, the California king mattress topper, measures 72 inches wide by 84 inches long. It is ideal for families or couples who prefer more legroom than a king topper.

What are some important certifications to look for before buying a full latex mattress topper?

Not all toppers are truly organic. Most latex mattress toppers that are being sold today are synthetic latex and blended latex. Even if they are labeled organic, they may still use life-threatening chemicals and components.

You may want to look for certificates and labels that indicate the mattress topper has met the tests and standards to hold true to its so-called "organic claims." These are some main mattress certifications to look out for when you want to buy the best full latex mattress toppers:

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)

GOTS, or Global Organic Textile Standard, is the textile processing standard that limits the use of bleaches, toxic dyes, and other chemicals during textile production.

GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard)

GOLS, or Global Organic Latex Standard, is a globally recognized certification that assures quality latex products with minimum chemical inputs.

OEKO TEX

Oeko tex certification sets limits for the emission of toxic substances such as formaldehyde and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which are linked to ozone smog, respiratory illnesses, and memory impairment.
