The Turmerry latex mattress toppers is
manufactured using the Dunlop process which is the most energy-efficient method of
creating
latex foam. Improved and perfected over the last 60 years, the Dunlop process gives
the
mattress and mattress toppers a springy fell with a strong core that allows strong
support
for your body. Although Dunlop process creates heavier and denser foam, it can be
made in
various firmness ranging from extra soft to extra firm.
Another process for making latex is Talalay. Talalay tend to give you more of a soft bouncy feel, and they are not as energy efficient as Dunlop. The difference between Dunlop and Talalay is not so big. Dunlop process can cater to most of the people's sleep needs so Turmerry only makes Dunlop mattress toppers at this time.
Natural Dunlop Latex Mattress Toppers are known for their support and strong core, and now you can bring them home at affordable rates. Latex is most commonly found in luxury mattresses with high price points, but we, at Turmerry, are offering our toppers for a great price that you can afford. Because we believe that great products are meant for everyone. We don’t want to have elusive products that one can only dream of having. We are real, so are our mattress toppers. So we are dedicated to bringing the best prices possible for our customers. And even at these prices, we won’t compromise on our quality. This is our promise.

Our latex toppers are available in 2 inch and 3 inch thickness. We do not carry 1 inch latex toppers and 4 inch latex toppers. The thickness you need may depend on several factors.
Please note, no matter the thickness of the mattress topper, if the underlying mattress is very soft or saggy, a mattress topper is not going to help - you'll need a new mattress.
Mattress toppers with 2-inch thickness should only be used on a highly supportive mattress, as they will not be able to provide additional support to your body and joints.

Turmerry latex mattress toppers are much easier to maintain if protected with a cover.
If you do spill anything on the mattress topper, you can simply spot clean it with a mild detergent.
The optional cover cannot be washed. We recommend using fitted sheets or waterproof mattress protectors that can be washed to keep the topper clean.
These mattress toppers should not be exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time or severe heat above 85 degree Fahrenheit. As these are made from latex, excessive sunlight or heat may lead to damage the mattress topper.
The latex topper can be easily ripped when handling if proper care is not taken. It will also absorb dust or dirt easily and can be a nightmare to clean if it left unprotected.
Latex mattress toppers are more durable and long-lasting than the traditional ones and thus are worth every penny spent. Once bought, you can sit back comfortably and relax for 5-10 years or more without buying a new one. But, to maintain the quality of the mattress topper, you must take good care of it. Thanks to natural Dunlop latex's superior bounce-back feature, you won't find the awful worn-down dips that you'll get with the traditional toppers.
The right way for cleaning latex toppers depends on how dirty they are. Use a vacuum to remove any loose hairs, particles, and other dirt from the outside of the topper. A simple baking soda cleaning will be enough if you only need to refresh and deodorize. If you see any kind of stains on the mattress topper, just spot clean them with a mild liquid detergent or a stain remover using a washcloth, soft-bristled brush, or a sponge.
However, it is always best to avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can discolor and even damage the delicate foams and other fill materials used in mattress toppers.
Before you store your mattress topper:
Make sure it is clean and dried properly.
Once it's completely dry, roll it up to save some space in storage and make it easier to move.
Put your mattress topper in a protective cover or a cloth bag that will protect it from dirt while it's packed away.
You can also use the original packaging your topper came with as a storage bag. If you do not have the original packaging, use a vacuum-sealed storage bag instead. These types of bags may help you save space in storage. However, it's very important to make sure your storage bag is clean from any kind of dirt, dust, and liquids so your topper can remain damage-free.
While mattress toppers come in different materials, latex toppers are known for outstanding temperature control, durability, and bounce. The firmness offered by Latex provides excellent support for your spine, eliminating the risk of backache or spinal injuries due to a wrong sleeping posture.
Of course, Latex is way better than memory foam. Latex foam toppers are highly durable and the most comfortable option in the market, thanks to the natural materials used. A memory foam topper produces off-gassing, which may be irritating people with allergies, while latex toppers are natural.
Unlike memory foam, latex mattress toppers can keep you cool when you're sleeping on them. They have pinholes in them that allow proper airflow, thereby improving air circulation. These holes make latex toppers more resistant to mold and other types of bacteria growth over time.
A natural and organic latex topper is a game-changer that can add extreme comfort, support, and other desirable qualities while helping to extend the life and usefulness of an old mattress. Latex foam is naturally springy, durable, and will stand up to substantial use. Along with that, natural latex foam is resistant to dust mites and other allergens – making it an incredible choice for people who suffer from allergies.
Latex foam is whipped from the sap of the harvested rubber tree, while conventional materials like memory foam are produced from petrochemicals. In other words, a latex topper is organic, which is better for your health and the environment.
When it comes to Latex, there are varying degrees of firmness - Soft (20-22 ILD), Medium (24-26 ILD), Firm (32-34 ILD), Extra Firm (36-38 ILD). However, a latex foam topper is generally firmer than memory foam and other traditional mattress toppers. Latex has a faster bounce-back time when pressure is applied. On the other hand, there is much less resistance when pressure is applied to a memory foam mattress, and the bounce-back time is much slower.
For side sleepers, choosing quality organic latex foam ensures that the topper will hold up for longer than those made from memory foam. Also, latex mattress toppers strike a good balance between contouring to fit your body and offering the best support through its natural elastic properties.
One of the biggest benefits of natural and organic latex mattress toppers is their pressure-relieving properties. It offers exceptional comfort and support to relieve the pressure at your hips, shoulders, knees, back, and other heavy areas, promoting a good night's rest. Latex mattress toppers have natural body cradling properties, due to which physical therapists, chiropractors, and osteopaths, have recommended latex toppers for pain-free sleep.
Latex is the ideal choice for a healthy and hygienic sleeping environment. It is naturally antimicrobial, meaning it repels harmful microorganisms, making Latex an excellent choice for people with year-round allergies.
Organic latex mattress toppers are free of VOCs, so you can sleep soundly knowing that you're not releasing life-threatening chemicals into the air your family breathes. Also, latex foam is naturally fire-resistant and is not doused in flame-retardant chemicals. Even though these chemicals keep the fire at bay, they are harmful to your health and the environment. Given that latex mattress toppers are naturally fire-resistant and free of harmful chemicals, they are absolutely safe to sleep on.
By nature's design, all- natural and latex is a durable, springy material that recovers its shape quickly after weight is lifted. A typical latex mattress topper can last 20 years or more, and it won't sag after a few years like conventional toppers.
Natural latex foam is derived from the sap of the rubber tree. The fact that zero chemicals are added into the mix means your natural latex topper is perfectly safe for the planet.
Natural and organic latex mattress toppers are not toxic and are completely safe and eco-friendly. On the other hand, conventional mattress toppers are jam-packed with petrochemicals that are harmful to the sleeper's health. Also, they put off a foul odor when you remove them from their packaging. These odors are not only unpleasant, but they can trigger upper respiratory distress, asthma attacks, headaches, and other reactions.
Turmerry Mattress Toppers do not use any natural or chemical flame retardants. The chemical flame retardants involve potential health risks and are toxic. Turmerry latex mattresses use natural wool as a flame retardant and are tested by the federal testing standards to meet or exceed flame tests. Our mattress toppers do not fall under the flame test.
A sliding mattress can turn your cozy night’s sleep into a 2 am clash of frustration. To keep your mattress topper from sliding, use a tightly fitted sheet or use bedsheet holders or sheet straps. You can also try sticking velcro tape or carpet tape along the edges of the mattress and topper.
The main cause of mattress topper sliding is incompatible size and low quality. At Turmerry, we offer mattress toppers with high-quality organic latex. Our toppers come in different firmness levels, thicknesses, and sizes and offer the necessary friction to provide the perfect grip so as to keep the topper in place.
We recommend you turn the topper from head to toe and also turn from right to left. This can be done once a month which will give you more out of the topper. This is like the car tire rotation.
Yes, you can add two Twin XL toppers side by side on a King Size Mattress. This is a great option for couples who have different comfort preferences, especially in the case of firmness. However, two toppers on a single mattress are likely to move, creating a gap in the middle of the bed as you change positions throughout the night.
Multiple 3 inch layers with different firmness can be used to create your own DIY Latex Mattress. Please make sure to add a Zippered Mattress Cover with natural wool as you want to make sure the resulting mattress is flame resistant.
We do not sell the Turmerry Mattress Cover separately at this time
Latex is nothing but Natural Rubber. It is a natural product that is found as a thick white liquid beneath the bark of a mature rubber tree. The scientific name of the rubber tree is Hevea Brasiliensis which originated from the Amazon Basin in Brazil.
The technique of collecting the latex from the rubber trees is called tapping. This was perfected by some of the great ancient civilizations and passed down for generations.
The rubber tappers harvested the latex from the rubber trees and send it to the factory for processing.
Rubber trees now grow mainly in Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia are some of the biggest rubber growers.
Natural Rubber is used to make many different products like tennis shoes, gloves, chewing gum, balloons, tires, and of course, latex foam layers to be used for latex mattresses and latex mattress toppers.
The natural rubber latex has properties unmatched by man-made synthetic rubber.
High resilience- will spring back to its original shape and size after every use
High tensile strength- can handle maximum load when stretched
Highly resistant to wear and tear- very durable
Temperature Control- it absorbs very minimum heat
Highly waterproof
Bio-degradable
We need to mention the cons along with the pros for natural latex. The natural latex will start to corrode and disintegrate if used under direct sunlight and high temperatures. For this reason, latex mattress or latex mattress toppers are not ideal in the sunroom or for outdoor areas.
Another drawback of latex is that some people, even though they constitute only a small percentage, are allergic to latex. Latex allergies can be classified into two - touch and touchless.
The group with touch latex allergy should buy latex mattress toppers with a cover so they are not coming into direct contact with the material. Other groups should avoid latex altogether. People who are very sensitive to smell may dislike the latex odor.
The latex mattress and latex mattress topper sold by Turmerry come with an option to buy organic cotton zipper covers and so you don't have to worry about touch allergy. Also, our latex does not emit any odor, and even if there is some due to the shipping in a tight box, you can air it out for a few hours or days, and POOF, it's gone!
Rubber is the durable, elastic and waterproof end product made using synthetic or natural latex which is the liquid form.
Natural Latex
Natural latex is tapped from the rubber trees. In its production process, the liquid latex is foamed
and then poured into a mold, followed by baking at very high temperatures. Some chemical agents must
be added to make this a finished product during the curing process. As long as the agents added do
not add up to 5% of the finished product, it can be called natural.
The challenge here is that there are no certification bodies for Natural. So if you see a natural
label, you cannot be certain.
Organic Latex
Organic Latex comes from organically grown rubber farms. The agents added are tested safe for humans
and cannot exceed 5% of the finished product. More stringent regulations, restrictions, testing,
sustainable forestry practices, and certifications are required to call a product made of latex
organic.
Synthetic Latex
This man-made latex involves using harsh petroleum-based chemicals such as Styrene-Butadiene Rubber
(SBR). They are no comparison to natural latex.
Compared to natural and organic latex, products made of synthetic latex costs less. However, they
have less bounce, are not durable, smell terrible, and are unhealthy for the sleeper and the
environment.
Blended Latex
Blended latex is a mix of some natural latex and a lot of synthetic latex. The ratio could be 30%
natural and 70% synthetic, or 5% natural and 95% synthetic.
When someone says latex, they mostly mean synthetic latex or blended latex. If it is labeled natural latex, then ask for certifications of its purity. If you are looking for non-toxic, sustainable, eco-friendly, and green, your best bet is to make sure it is organic, and carries organic certifications.
Turmerry is the fastest growing organic latex mattress topper and bedding brand in the USA.

For Turmerry Mattress Toppers we offer a 30-120 day trial period. We completely understand that testing out a Mattress Topper at a local store, fully dressed and in your shoes for a few minutes is a nightmare. We also believe testing it out just for a night is a bad idea although many of our customers fall in love with it on the first night. When making a decision on a product that you will spend a third of your life on, it’s important to really know it. It takes time to make such an important choice so we request you to try it out for 30 days before initiating a return request. You can return the mattress or mattress topper after 30 days up until 120 days of our delivery date.
If after 30 days, you find your mattress topper is still uncomfortable, then in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from shipping, we will ask you to go through a local donation procedure for toppers after contacting us. There is an easy set of procedure to be followed for this so please contact us first.
If you decide to return/donate your mattress topper before the 30 day waiting period, or if you cancel an order after the order has been shipped, or if you refuse the shipment, a store credit will be issued instead of refund.
