Turmerry Organic Latex Mattress comes with multiple latex layers of different firmness levels. Firmer layers go at the bottom, and softer layers go on top. You can also adjust the layers to your desired firmness if you find our configurations to be unsuitable.

Our mattresses come in 3 to 5 boxes. The mattress assembly process is very simple. It’ll take you about 20-30 minutes.

No special tools are required, just a pair of scissors to open the boxes and remove the wrapping.

Before You Start

Please note that latex mattresses are heavier than memory foam mattresses. Each box could weigh around 25 to 65 lbs., depending on the mattress size.

We recommend having a second pair of hands to help you bring the boxes in and to help with assembly.

A few other things to check for:

Make sure you’ve received all the boxes. One box contains the mattress cover and pillows. The remaining boxes contain the latex layers. If you haven’t received all the boxes, contact us right away.
Move all the boxes to your bedroom, where you plan to use the mattress. Don’t open the boxes before this step.
Be careful when opening the boxes. Since you’ll be using scissors to unwrap the packaging, avoid accidentally cutting any mattress components.
Handle the latex layer with utmost care. Never pull or yank on the layers, as you could rip or tear them.

Time to Assemble Your Organic Latex Mattress

TURMERRY LATEX MATTRESS COMES IN 3 TO 5 BOXES

Step 1. Place the organic cotton zippered cover on your bed frame

Place the zippered mattress cover on your bed frame, then unzip it. Don't be concerned if the cover seems smaller at first. The latex should fit snugly, and your mattress will look crisp once you zip all the layers inside.

Step 2. Identify the base layer of your latex mattress

Place the bottom layer (Firm or Extra-Firm) inside the mattress cover and gently shake it into place. You may need to grip the latex and wiggle the layer into place until it settles into a flat layer.

The base layer is the foundation of your mattress, so take your time. Line it up perfectly inside the mattress cover, along the cover's seams.

Once it's in place, tug on the border of the mattress cover to make sure the fabric beneath the base layer is smooth, flat, and wrinkle-free.

Step 3. Insert the next latex layers on top, one at a time

Gently insert the next few latex layers on top of the base layer, one at a time. Usually, the Medium layer goes in the middle, with the Soft layer on top.

In 12-inch mattresses, the 2-inch layer should be placed at the very top.

Step 4. Zip it up

Once you've assembled all the latex layers, slowly zip up the organic cotton mattress cover around your new mattress. Take as much time as you need.

Be sure to smooth the layers and check for proper alignment before zipping it up.

Step 5. Make your bed

And that’s it! Your new latex mattress is assembled and ready to go. Make the bed with your favorite pillows and bedding, and enjoy the many years of luxurious, healthy, comfortable sleep that’s to come!

A latex mattress is a long-term investment. With proper care, it can last 15-20 years, or even more. Learn how to care for your latex mattress the right way.

Note: While many customers love their new latex mattress from the very first night, others need a few days to adjust. If yours doesn’t feel right on night one, don’t worry. Give your body some time to get used to the new feel. Within a week or two, you and your mattress should feel more in sync.
