The easy mattress upgrade
If you said yes to any of these, our organic latex topper is the easiest way to upgrade the mattress you already have. It's made with GOLS certified organic Dunlop latex (95% or more organic), for the comfort and support your bed has been missing.
Pro tip: add a mattress topper cover to keep your topper clean and make care easier.

The Organic Latex Mattress Topper features a specialized 7-zone design, with each 'zone' providing fine-tuned firmness that works best for 7 different body regions.
Firmer zones at the head and feet provide stability, while medium-firm zones cushion your back and hips. Softer zones at the shoulders and thighs offer pressure point relief where it’s needed most.
Side sleepers benefit from the softer shoulder zones. Back sleepers enjoy medium-firm support for their spine. Stomach sleepers get the firmness they need to prevent sinking. And combination sleepers experience seamless transitions as they move throughout the night.
Whether you're young or old, lightweight or heavy-set, male or female, the zoning system adapts to each unique body profile, making our organic latex topper one of the most versatile bedding options available today.

Quality latex usually costs a lot. We keep our toppers within reach of different budgets, without cutting corners on quality.
Three thicknesses
Our GOLS certified organic latex topper comes in 2, 3 and 4 inches (with cover). The right thickness depends mostly on your body weight and how you sleep.
Best on a mattress that is still supportive. It adds comfort, but it won't give full support on its own.
The one to choose if you are not sure. It can change the feel of your mattress completely.
Two 2 inch layers, one soft and one firmer, in an organic cotton cover. Flip it for a soft or medium-firm feel.
Good to know: if your mattress is very soft or sagging, a topper of any thickness may not help much, and you may need a new mattress.
Four firmness levels
Pick by how you sleep and what you weigh.
Plush and cushioning. A great pick if you want to soften a mattress that feels too firm.
A balance of soft and firm. Also a good choice for people under 130 lbs.
Firms up a mattress that feels too soft. Also a good option for people under 230 lbs.
The most support. Helps relieve pressure points while keeping your spine aligned.

Care
Pro tip: a washable cover makes care much easier. Protect your topper with a topper cover, a fitted sheet or a waterproof mattress protector. These fit best:
It isn't machine washable. Dab the spot with a sponge, water and a mild detergent, then let it air-dry.
Long exposure to direct sunlight, or heat above 85°F, breaks latex down and shortens its life.
Latex can tear if it's pulled hard. Unpack it gently and lift it onto your mattress rather than dragging it.
Vacuum the surface about once a month, avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills right away.
A latex mattress topper is a bedding accessory that's placed on top of your current mattress. It's about 1-4 inches thick and made of latex foam.
Latex comes from the sap of rubber trees – it's a natural material that gets processed into a springy, supportive foam. What makes latex special is that it bounces back quickly when you move, ensuring consistent support and comfort wherever you sleep on it. Additionally, due to its open-cell structure, the material stays cool while you sleep.
As for what a mattress topper actually does – think of it as a comfort layer that changes how your mattress feels. If your new mattress is too firm, a topper adds cushioning. If your old mattress is too soft, a topper can restore the lost support. Basically, it's an easy way to improve your bed without buying a whole new mattress.
The different types of latex are -
When someone says "latex," they're not necessarily talking about the natural stuff from rubber trees. It could be synthetic, blended, or natural – the term alone doesn't tell you much.
If a product is labeled "organic latex" or "natural latex," don't just take their word for it. Ask to see certifications that prove its purity. Companies that use genuine organic/natural latex are usually happy to display their certifications, as they take pride in the quality.
In short, yes. Latex mattress toppers are well worth their price.
Mattress toppers come in different materials, but latex toppers stand out for good reasons. They breathe better than most other materials, so you stay cooler at night. They also last longer, bounce back when you move, and do a great job of relieving pressure on your body.
Other benefits of latex include not transferring motion to your partner and keeping your bedroom's environment free from chemicals like VOCs.
Latex mattress toppers last much longer than other types of toppers. A good quality latex topper will easily give you 5 years of use, sometimes even longer, with proper care.
The reason they last so long is because latex bounces back to its original shape. Unlike memory foam or fiber toppers that get permanent dips and worn spots over time, latex keeps its shape year after year.
Of course, how long your topper lasts depends on how well you take care of it. Use a mattress protector, rotate it occasionally, air it out once in a while, and keep it clean. Doing so, you'll get the most years out of it.
Most people find latex to be the better choice out of the two best mattress toppers.
Memory foam has some well-known problems. It traps body heat, which makes you sleep hot. It can have a chemical smell when new and may release VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Over time, it also loses support and can develop permanent dips.
Latex doesn't have these issues. It stays cool because air flows through it easily. It's made from natural materials, so there's no chemical smell or harmful gases. And it keeps its support for years.
Both materials contour to your body and relieve pressure points. But latex does this while still being responsive - when you move, it bounces back quickly instead of leaving you stuck in a slow-sinking feeling.
Latex toppers typically last 5 years or more, while memory foam toppers often start sagging and losing support after just a few years. So, even though latex costs more upfront, it's usually the better value over time.
For most people, 3 inches works well. It's the recommended thickness level if you're unsure what suits you.
If you're lighter weight (less than 130 lbs.), 2 inches might be enough to get the pressure relief you need. If you're heavier (above 230 lbs.), you'll probably want 4 inches or more for better support.
Keep in mind, this applies only to organic natural latex. Synthetic latex doesn't breathe as well and might sleep warmer.
We make these Dunlop latex toppers to a density rather than an ILD number, but the ILD falls in these ranges:
Soft: 17-22 ILD, 65 kg/m³ density
Medium: 23-26 ILD, 75 kg/m³
density
Firm: 27-34 ILD, 85 kg/m³ density
Extra Firm is our firmest option, made for heavier back and stomach sleepers.
No, natural latex actually sleeps cool. The material itself is breathable, which means air can flow through it easily. This helps prevent heat from getting trapped around your body.
Most latex toppers also have small holes punched through them, which adds even more airflow. So if you're someone who usually wakes up hot and sweaty, latex can help solve that problem.
Keep in mind, this applies only to organic natural latex. Synthetic latex doesn't breathe as well and might sleep warmer.
Organic latex mattress toppers are not toxic. They're made from natural materials and are often tested for safety by independent parties (like GOLS, OEKO-TEX, eco-INSTITUT) to make sure they're safe to sleep on.
Regular mattress toppers (made from synthetic materials) can contain harmful chemicals from petroleum. These toppers often have a strong chemical smell when you first unpack them, which is a sign of those chemicals releasing into the air.
If you want to avoid toxins, look for certified organic latex toppers. They don't have the chemical additives that synthetic toppers do.
Our organic latex has very little smell. If you notice a light scent when you first unpack it, that comes from being packed tightly for shipping. Air the topper out for a few hours or days and it goes away (see "How do I air out my latex mattress topper?" below).
It depends on the allergy. People with a contact (touch) latex allergy can use the topper inside a cover, so their skin never touches the latex. Our 4-inch topper comes with an organic cotton cover, and you can add a mattress topper cover to the 2-inch or 3-inch topper. If your allergy is not limited to contact, please avoid latex and check with your doctor.
No. Mattress toppers do not require flame retardants. As such, Turmerry mattress toppers don't use any flame retardants - natural or chemical.
Our latex mattresses do, however, use a layer of natural wool as a flame retardant, which is required by federal safety standards. The mattresses are tested to make sure they meet all fire safety requirements.
Since our toppers don't have flame retardants and our mattresses use only natural wool for fire safety, they work well together without adding any synthetic substances to your sleep setup.
Yes, latex mattress toppers work really well for side sleepers. When you sleep on your side, you need something that's soft enough to cushion your shoulder and hip, but firm enough to keep your spine straight.
Latex does both. It's soft enough to relieve pressure on those bony areas that dig into the mattress, but it still gives you the support you need so your spine doesn't sag out of alignment.
This balance is why many side sleepers find latex more comfortable than memory foam (which can be too soft) or firm mattresses alone (which can create pressure points).
For light cleaning: If your topper just needs freshening up, vacuum it with a brush attachment to get rid of dust and debris. Then sprinkle baking soda all over it and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour. The baking soda will soak up any odors. Vacuum it up when you're done. Do this monthly to keep your topper fresh.
For spills/stains: Mix a little mild soap (like dish soap or baby shampoo) with warm water. Use a clean cloth or soft sponge to gently clean the stain. Don't scrub hard or get the latex too wet. After cleaning, use a damp cloth with plain water to remove any leftover soap. Then let it air dry completely.
What to avoid: Don't use bleach, ammonia, or other harsh cleaners - they can damage the latex. Never put your topper in the washing machine or dryer, either. Latex isn't machine wash-friendly, and can tear or lose its shape.
Drying: Always air-dry your topper in a room with good air circulation, but keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. The sun can make latex brittle over time. Lay it flat and make sure both sides are dry completely before putting it back on your bed.
Before you store your natural latex mattress topper:
You can also use the original packaging your topper came with as a storage bag. If you do not have the original packaging, use a vacuum-sealed storage bag instead. These types of bags may help you save space in storage. Always ensure that your storage bag is clean of any impurities and liquids so that your topper can remain damage-free within it.
Take your latex topper off the mattress and remove any covers. Stand it up in a room with good airflow - don't lay it flat on either side since that blocks air from getting through. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which can damage the latex.
Let it air out for a few hours until it's completely dry. Then it's ready to go back on your bed!
No. Unlike light foam or fiber toppers, natural latex is heavy and its surface grips the mattress, so it stays in place under a fitted sheet without straps. A Queen 3" topper weighs about 30 lbs (see "How much does the topper weigh?" below).
For the best fit, choose the same size as your mattress and use a fitted sheet with pockets deep enough for the mattress and the topper together. If you use a topper cover, keep it snug.
Yes, you can put two twin XL toppers side by side on a king-size mattress. This works great for couples who want different firmness levels - one person can have firm while the other has soft.
Yes. The topper bends with an adjustable base. You can also use it directly on a platform bed or futon frame with no mattress underneath; in that case we suggest the 3-inch topper for more comfort.

No. Every Turmerry topper is one solid piece across its full width, even King and Cal King, so there is no seam down the middle. Our topper covers have no middle seam either.
The 4-inch topper is two 2-inch layers, one Soft and one Firm, inside an organic cotton cover. Some are bonded together at the factory with organic latex glue.
Multiple 2- or 3-inch latex mattress toppers, with varying firmness, when layered upon one another (bottom layer, middle layer, top layer), can be used to create your own DIY Latex Mattress. Just make sure to add a layer of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified wool or fully natural wool around the mattress topper layers, as it acts as a natural fire retardant.
Once the wool layer is placed, encase the whole thing in a Zippered Mattress Cover (preferably a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover), and voila! You've just created your very own latex mattress out of latex toppers.
GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) Certification ensures that the latex foam has at least 95% certified organic materials. It also checks that the manufacturing follows strict environmental and safety rules.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 confirms the product is free from harmful chemicals and safe for people to use. Every part of the topper - including fabric, thread, and zippers - has to meet these safety standards.
eco-INSTITUT is a German lab that tests for chemical pollutants, VOC emissions, and leftover toxins. Products with the eco-INSTITUT certification are considered very clean and safe for indoor use.
LGA Quality Certification focuses on how well latex holds up over time. It tests whether the material keeps working properly after years of use.
USDA Organic Certification applies to the raw materials used to make natural latex, like rubber tree sap. This label means the trees were grown without synthetic pesticides or chemicals.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certification guarantees that the rubber trees used for latex come from forests that are managed sustainably and ethically.
Greenguard Gold Certification verifies that the product releases very few chemicals into the air, which helps keep indoor air cleaner. This is especially important for children or people with breathing problems.
Fair Trade Certified ensures that workers who harvest and process natural latex are treated fairly, paid good wages, and work in safe conditions. It also supports community development and sustainable practices in the areas where latex is produced.
