WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

The Latex Seat Cushion is a supportive piece of foam, perfect for extended periods of seating on office chairs, sofas, benches, and anywhere else you plan to place your buttocks! With a high-density (85K) build, it improves seating posture while reducing pressure on your hips and tailbone. The cushion also breathes well, thanks to the perforations we added, so it won't overheat like memory foam.
Latex is a naturally breathable material. Its internal structure is open-celled, which allows air to flow through it much more freely than in memory foam. Additionally, we've added small holes (perforations) to improve airflow capacity. All of this, together, leads to excellent moisture and heat dissipation in our latex cushion.
Latex is highly responsive, giving you instant support and cushioning. The level of comfort remains consistent throughout. There’s none of that unevenness you get with cheaper cushions. And since organic latex is built to last (up to five years or more), our seat cushion won’t compress anytime soon. It holds up way longer than most others.
Our seat cushion is great for a lot of things. Use it on your office chair, dining chair, sofa, or even in the car. It’s easy to move around, so you can bring its comfort with you from room to room. Plus, it can also work as added lumbar support behind your back.
Latex is a milky white sap tapped from rubber trees. That sap gets whipped, poured into molds, and baked using the Dunlop method - a process that gives our cushions their dense, supportive feel. Compared to Talalay latex, Dunlop is firmer and requires less energy to produce. Its higher density also makes it more durable. And because we use GOLS-certified organic latex, you're getting a material that’s not just comfortable, but also clean and sustainable, making it better for the planet from start to finish.
For touch and texture, we wrap our latex seat cushions in the finest organic cotton casing (zippered for convenience). And yes, it’s fully organic. Every step of the process, from planting and growing to harvesting and processing, follows strict organic standards. By avoiding toxic herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers, these farming methods support healthier soil, safer conditions for farm workers, lower water use, and a better end product for you.
Pro-Tip: Turmerry seat cushions are much easier to maintain if protected with an outer cover. We recommend using washable covers to make the maintenance process much easier for you.
Spot-clean in case of spillage - If you spill anything on the seat cushion, do not wash it in a machine, as it isn't machine washable. All you have to do is obtain a sponge and gently spot-clean the liquid-stained area with water and mild detergent. Make sure to fully dry it before putting the cover back on and resuming use.
Avoid long-term exposure to sunlight/heat - Our seat cushions should not be exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Exposure to severe heat above 85 degrees Fahrenheit should also be avoided. As the seat cushions are made from latex, excessive sunlight or heat can lead to a breakdown in the integrity of the material, reducing its lifespan.
Handle with care - If proper care isn't practiced when handling our seat cushions, they may rip or tear. Be gentle when taking them out of the packaging; place them with care on your chairs/sofas. They may also absorb dust/dirt easily, depending on where you live, and could become difficult to clean if left unprotected (without a cover).
Clean regularly - Vacuum the seat cushion's surface every month or so. Avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills/stains immediately. All of these steps can lead to a long-lasting cushion.
Latex is the white, milky sap harvested from rubber trees. It’s turned into foam and used in pillows, mattresses, mattress toppers, bedding, etc., for its comfort and durability. What makes latex stand out is that it’s a natural, renewable material, especially when it’s certified organic (by GOLS, OEKO-TEX). Rubber trees can be tapped for years without being cut down, which makes latex a more sustainable choice compared to synthetic foams made from petroleum.
The different types of latex are -
When someone says "latex," they're not necessarily talking about the natural stuff from rubber trees. It could be synthetic, blended, or natural - the term alone doesn't tell you much.
If a product is labeled "organic latex" or "natural latex," don't just take their word for it. Ask to see certifications that prove its purity. Companies that use genuine organic/natural latex are usually happy to display their certifications, as they take pride in the quality.
Most seat cushions you see on the market are made with cheap, synthetic materials like polyurethane foam. They trap heat, off-gas chemicals, and lose their shape quick.
A latex seat cushion improves upon the cushions of old. It's durable, so it provides consistent comfort and support. It's breathable, so it stays cooler. And it's organic, so it doesn't contain harmful levels of chemicals.
Latex seat cushions are a long-term investment (and a better one at that) compared to traditional ones.
We recommend measuring your seat first. Match the length and width of the seat cushion closely to it, then pick the thickness based on how much height and softness you want to add.
20" x 20" x 4"
This is the standard seat size. It fits most office chairs, dining chairs, and regular seats. Choose this if you want steady support without sitting much higher.
24" x 24" x 6"
Wider and thicker. Good for larger chairs, deep seats, or if you want more cushion under you. Adds noticeable height and comfort while still feeling supportive.
Also useful for:
72" x 24" x (4", 5", or 6")
Made for long benches, window seats, daybeds, and built-in seating. 4" thick: Adds comfort without raising you too much. 5" thick: A balanced option with a bit more padding. 6" thick: The most cushioning and height.
Also useful for:
Unfortunately, no. Only the 20" x 20" x 4" (Standard Size) comes with a zippered cover as of now. The remaining seat cushion sizes do not include one.
Our latex seat cushions can last 5+ years with good care. They don’t flatten out and lose shape the way cheaper synthetic cushions do. The natural resilience of latex keeps the cushion comfortable, night after night, without the early sag you get with most regular seat cushions.
No, don’t put your latex seat cushion in the washing machine. Soaking it in water or tossing it in a wash cycle can damage the foam and break it down over time.
If it needs cleaning, spot-clean only. Here’s how -
Mix a little mild detergent with warm water. Dip a clean cloth/sponge in the solution, gently blot the stain, and avoid rubbing too hard. Then, use another damp cloth/sponge to wipe away any soap residue. Let the cushion air dry completely, but keep it out of direct sunlight.
To keep it cleaner longer, we recommend using a protector cover.
For a seat cushion, no. Solid latex is the better choice. It provides the steady support needed to keep your hips lifted and upright.
Shredded latex is much softer and shifts around inside the cover. Because of that, it tends to sink more and won’t give you the stable base you need for sitting upright comfortably.
A Dunlop latex core and a Talalay latex core are made differently and feel different as a result. Dunlop latex is made by whipping natural rubber sap into a froth, pouring it into a mold all at once, and baking it. As it bakes, the heavier particles settle toward the bottom, which gives Dunlop a denser feel. It’s more energy-efficient and produces a durable foam that offers strong support, which is why we use it in our cushions.
Talalay latex goes through a few extra steps. After the sap is poured into the mold, it’s partially filled, then vacuum-sealed to evenly distribute the foam. It’s flash-frozen, then baked. This process creates a fluffier latex with soft density that feels more airy and plush. But it also takes more energy and resources to produce.
If you like more support and durability, a Dunlop latex cushion is the way to go. If you prefer more cushioning and consistency, a Talalay latex cushion might be more your style.
No, it won't. Latex has an open-cell structure, which means air can move through it more freely than with dense, synthetic foams like memory foam. On top of that, we add small perforations throughout the cushion. This helps heat and moisture escape instead of getting trapped inside.
The cover matters, too. Ours is made from breathable organic cotton, which doesn’t trap heat like polyester blends often do.
All in all, organic latex is temperature-neutral, which means it doesn’t overheat or feel too cold. It just stays comfortably cool throughout, especially compared to memory foam and other conventional cushions that trap body heat.
Yes, it can help. A latex seat cushion keeps your hips more level while you sit. When your pelvis stays in a better position, your lower back doesn’t have to work as hard, which can reduce strain and pressure.
It’s not a cure for back pain or hip pain, but a good latex cushion eases discomfort, preventing the symptoms from getting worse during long hours of sitting.
In a lot of ways, yes. Latex seat cushions are better at cooling, more responsive and supportive, and last longer than memory foam.
Memory foam seat cushions tend to feel stuffy and slow to respond. They also hold onto heat, which can make you feel warmer after a while.
Plus, if you go with organic latex, you’re avoiding the chemicals and synthetic materials found in memory foam, making it a healthier, more eco-friendly option overall.
When it’s brand new, you might notice a light, vanilla-like scent. That’s just the natural smell of latex. It’s not toxic or chemical like the scent of memory foam, and it usually fades within a few days. Just airing the cushion out for a bit will help it clear up faster.
An additional cover is optional, but we recommend adding one, yes. It helps protect your seat cushion from spills, stains, and everyday wear, keeping it fresher for longer. Go with something breathable, like an organic cotton cover or a bamboo cover, so you don’t lose that cool feel latex is known for.
Nope. The latex seat cushion doesn’t need any fluffing. It’s a single solid piece of latex foam that holds its shape on its own. No squishing or refluffing needed.
Yes, you can definitely do so. Our seat cushions are made to work on all kinds of chairs.
Look for certifications that are trusted and verified. The big ones are -
If a latex seat cushion has a mix of these, you’re getting one of the best there is.
