Turmerry Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow - Best Pillow for Side Sleepers - Solid Foam Pillows - Proper Spinal Alignment

Are you a dedicated side sleeper? Have you been waking up with neck pain recently? Do you wish you had a pillow that was tailored specifically for side sleepers? Then it's time for a pillow change, and we've got you covered with our Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow. Contrary to back and stomach sleeping positions, side sleeping requires a firm pillow surface to maintain an ideal spine alignment.

As the name suggests, our side sleeper pillow is shaped like a cuboid, a 3D rectangle. It is intended to cover the entire space between your head, neck, and shoulders, aligning them with your spine at a neutral, 90-degree angle. The material we use to achieve this level of support is organic Dunlop latex foam. It's highly responsive, supportive, cushioning, breathable, and durable.

Perfect Pillow for Side Sleepers - Right pillow for neck and shoulder pain relief - Great shoulder relief system

    Perfect Pillow for Side Sleepers

Most pillows try to work for everyone, but side sleepers need something different. The cuboid pillow is shaped to actually support how you sleep on your side - by keeping your head level with your spine. Instead of your neck getting bent at weird angles or your head sinking too low, everything stays lined up properly. That's what makes it work so well for side sleepers.

Breathable & Cool - Breathable pillow - Cooling pillow - Moisture wicking cover - Ends pillow search for hot sleepers

    Breathable & Cool

The organic latex foam breathes naturally through its open-cell structure, and we've added tiny holes throughout to help air flow even better. The organic cotton cover also dissipates heat well thanks to its breathable structure. Put it all together, and you get a pillow that stays cool and dry all night – even if you usually sleep hot.

Highly Customizable - Try test pillows - Can provide neck support for combination sleepers and other sleep positions

    Highly Customizable

You can pick the size (short or long), height (low, medium, or high), and firmness (soft, medium, or firm) that works best for your body and how you like to sleep. It works with you, not the other way around. So you're getting a pillow that's fully designed for your specific needs.

Eco-Friendly Pillow's Fill - Gives side sleeping pillow high marks for sustainability

    Eco-Friendly & Sustainable

Made with GOLS-certified organic latex and a GOTS-certified cotton cover, this pillow is safe for you and doesn't hurt the environment. No harmful levels of chemicals, no toxic foams. It's sustainable and sourced responsibly, making it the smarter choice if you want better sleep without the guilt.

Long-Lasting, Durable - No pillow sinks or pillow compresses - Better than plush fill, down alternative fill, polyester fill

    Long-Lasting & Durable

While most pillows get lumpy or go flat after a few months, latex keeps bouncing back night after night. It holds its shape over time, giving you consistent support and cushioning that can last up to 5 years or more. Think of it as an investment in good sleep that actually pays off.

Aesthetic for Interior Decoration - Better than shredded foam, feather pillows, down pillows, down alternative pillows

    Aesthetic for Interior Decoration

Beyond just working well, the cuboid pillow looks clean and modern. The structured shape gives it a neat, minimalist look that works with any bedroom style. It can even work great on other furniture, such as sofas. A pillow that’s as attractive as it is effective - that's our cuboid pillow.

Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Size - Short (Cube Pillow) & Long (Big Inner Pillow)

    Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Sizes

The pillow's size determines how long it will be and how much ground it will cover. We provide two choices: short, which measures 12 x 12 inches, and long, which measures 24 x 12 inches.

    Short (12 x 12 inches)

    • Easy to carry and transport.
    • Ideal for stable side sleepers (who stay still).
    • More cost-effective than the long option.
    • Can be placed between the legs for added support.
    • Perfect for twin, twin XL, and full-size beds.

    Long (12 x 24 inches)

    • Great addition for the main bed.
    • Ideal for active side sleepers (who move a lot).
    • Can function as a partial body pillow due to its length.
    • Perfect for queen, king, and Cal king beds.
Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Loft - Adjustable Loft - Low, Medium, High - Relieve Neck Strain for Back Sleepers Too

    Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Loft

Pillow height is referred to as "loft". It ought to be selected based on the height at which your head rests comfortably, in line with your spine. We offer three lofts - low, which is 4 inches; medium, which is 5 inches; and high, which is 6 inches. The wider your shoulders are, the higher the pillow loft must be.

Pro tip: To find your ideal pillow loft, stack a few books on top of one another and lie on them. Using a measuring tape, determine the height of books that best suit you, check to see if that height is available in our customization options, and order accordingly.

    Low (4 inches)

    • The slimmest loft we offer.
    • Best for petite sleepers with narrow shoulders.
    • Works well if you prefer a flatter, less elevated feel.

    Medium (5 inches)

    • A balanced, middle-ground loft.
    • Suits average-to-tall height sleepers with broad shoulders.
    • Good option if you’re unsure which loft is right for you.

    High (6 inches)

    • The thickest, most supportive loft.
    • Ideal for tall sleepers with broad shoulders.
    • Provides a more elevated feel that some side sleepers find essential.
Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Firmness - Soft, Medium, Firm

    Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow Firmness

A pillow's firmness determines how hard or soft it is to sleep on. Firmness is a matter of personal preference, as it depends on your body type and weight. You can choose from three different firmness levels: soft, medium, and firm. The heavier you are, the firmer your pillow should be.

    Soft

    • Best for petite sleepers with lighter heads.
    • Provides a plush, cushioned feel.
    • Excellent at contouring and relieving pressure points.

    Medium

    • Suits most average-sized sleepers.
    • Strikes the perfect balance between softness and support.
    • Offers comfort without excessive sinkage.

    Firm

    • Designed for larger sleepers with heavier heads.
    • Delivers maximum support to prevent sinkage and misalignment.
    • Despite its firmness, it remains comfortable even on long nights.

    Pillow Care Instructions

Pro-Tip: Turmerry pillows are much easier to maintain if protected with an outer cover. We recommend using washable covers to make the maintenance process much easier for you.

Try these (they fit best!) -

Spot-clean in case of spillage - If you spill anything on the pillow, do not wash the cover or the latex foam in a machine, as they aren't machine washable. All you have to do is remove the cover first, then obtain a sponge and gently spot-clean the liquid-stained area (on both the cover and foam) with cold water and mild detergent. Make sure to fully dry everything before putting the cover back on and resuming use.

Avoid long-term exposure to sunlight/heat - Our pillows should not be exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Exposure to severe heat above 85 degrees Fahrenheit should also be avoided. As the pillows are made from latex, excessive sunlight or heat can lead to a breakdown in the integrity of the material, reducing its lifespan.

Handle with care - If proper care isn't practiced when handling our pillows, they may rip or tear. Be gentle when taking them out of the packaging; place them with care on your mattress. They may also absorb dust/dirt easily, depending on where you live, and could become difficult to clean if left unprotected (without a cover).

Clean regularly - Vacuum the pillow's surface every month or so. Avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills/stains immediately. All of these steps can lead to a long-lasting pillow.

    Cuboid Side Sleeper Pillow FAQS:

Latex is the white, milky sap harvested from rubber trees. It’s turned into foam and used in pillows, mattresses, mattress toppers, bedding, etc., for its comfort and durability. What makes latex stand out is that it’s a natural, renewable material, especially when it’s certified organic (by GOLS, OEKO-TEX). Rubber trees can be tapped for years without being cut down, which makes latex a more sustainable choice compared to synthetic foams made from petroleum.

The different types of latex are -

    • Natural Latex: Harvested from organically grown rubber trees (Hevea Brasiliensis), this type of latex is naturally processed to create foam layers.
    • Organic Latex: Organic latex is natural latex that comes with an organic seal of approval. Latex pillows that are organic contain ≥95% organic latex, the highest possible standard.
    • Synthetic Latex: Made from petroleum-based chemicals such as Styrene-Butadiene Rubber to mimic natural latex. It's usually cheaper but doesn't have the same durability or natural properties as the real thing.
    • Blended Latex: A combination of natural latex and synthetic latex. Blended latex pillows usually contain around 30% natural latex, with the rest being synthetic.

When someone says "latex," they're not necessarily talking about the natural stuff from rubber trees. It could be synthetic, blended, or natural – the term alone doesn't tell you much.

If a product is labeled "organic latex" or "natural latex," don't just take their word for it. Ask to see certifications that prove its purity. Companies that use genuine organic/natural latex are usually happy to display their certifications, as they take pride in the quality.

A cuboid side sleeper pillow is designed with a block-like shape to provide proper support for side sleepers. It does this by completely filling the space between the head and shoulders, which ensures that the spine remains well-aligned.

A regular pillow is shaped differently, more so like a slope, which doesn’t always fit snugly in that space. As a result, it can leave gaps that strain the neck and shoulders.

Regular pillows are also designed to accommodate back and stomach sleepers, in addition to side sleepers. So, you can't really be sure that it will support you when you sleep on your side.

Cuboid pillow vs regular pillow - It's better than solid memory foam pillow & shredded memory foam pillows

Our cuboid side sleeper pillows can hold up for about three to five years. With proper care, they could last even longer. They don’t flatten out and lose shape the way cheaper synthetic pillows do. The natural resilience of latex keeps the pillow comfortable night after night, without that early sag you get with most regular pillows.

No, don’t put your cuboid pillow in the washing machine. Soaking it in water or tossing it in a wash cycle can damage the foam and break it down over time.

If it needs cleaning, spot-clean only. Here’s how -

Mix a little mild detergent with warm water. Dip a clean cloth/sponge in the solution, gently blot the stain, and avoid rubbing too hard. Then, use another damp cloth/sponge to wipe away any soap residue. Let the pillow air dry completely, but keep it out of direct sunlight.

To keep it cleaner longer, we recommend using a pillow protector.

Choose based on three things - how much you move around, how your body is built, and how comfortable/supportive you'd like it to be.

    Movement

    • Active Side Sleeper (Tosses & Turns)
      Pick: Long size (12" x 24")
Why: Gives full support even when you shift; no waking up with your head sliding off the edge.
    • Stable Side Sleeper (Stays in Place)
      Pick: Short size (12" x 12")
Why: Offers snug, focused support exactly where you need it; no excess bulk.

    Body Build

    • Narrow Shoulders
      Pick: Low loft (4")
Why: Keeps your head level with your spine; no awkward tilt upwards.
    • Average Build
      Pick: Medium loft (5")
Why: A versatile height that hits the sweet spot for most people.
    • Broad Shoulders
      Pick: High loft (6")
Why: Fills the gap better, keeping your head from drooping down.

    Comfort Preference

    • Shoulder Sensitive (Needs Cushioning)
      Pick: Soft
Why: Gently contours your shoulder; just make sure it still keeps your neck aligned.
    • Balanced Support & Comfort
      Pick: Medium
Why: The Goldilocks option; supportive yet comfy.
    • Firm Feel (Likes Structure)
      Pick: Firm
Why: Delivers clear, stable support; perfect for heavier sleepers.

It depends on what you like in a pillow. Shredded latex is made from very small pieces of latex foam, which makes the pillow more adjustable and moldable. You can fluff it, scrunch it, or even remove some fill to get the exact height and feel you want. It’s great if you like a softer, more customizable pillow.

Solid latex, on the other hand, gives you a more consistent shape and feel. It’s bouncier, responsive, and tends to hold its structure better over time - ideal if you like a pillow that stays in place without shifting around.

A Dunlop latex core and a Talalay latex core are made differently and feel different as a result. Dunlop latex is made by whipping natural rubber sap into a froth, pouring it into a mold all at once, and baking it. As it bakes, the heavier particles settle toward the bottom, which gives Dunlop a denser feel. It’s more energy-efficient and produces a durable foam that offers strong support, which is why we use it in our pillows.

Talalay latex goes through a few extra steps. After the sap is poured into the mold, it’s partially filled, then vacuum-sealed to evenly distribute the foam. It’s flash-frozen, then baked. This process creates a fluffier latex with soft density that feels more airy and plush. But it also takes more energy and resources to produce.

If you like more support and durability, a Dunlop latex pillow is the way to go. If you prefer more cushioning and consistency, a Talalay latex pillow might be more your style.

No. Our cuboid pillow actually sleeps cool. Latex has an open-cell structure, which means air can move through it more freely than with dense, synthetic foams like memory foam. On top of that, we add small perforations throughout the pillow to boost airflow even more. This helps heat and moisture escape instead of getting trapped inside.

The pillow cover matters, too. Ours is made from breathable organic cotton, which doesn’t trap heat like polyester blends often do.

All in all, organic latex is temperature-neutral, which means it doesn’t overheat or feel too cold. It just stays comfortably cool throughout the night, especially compared to memory foam and other conventional pillows that trap body heat.

Yes. The cuboid pillow offers solid support without being too stiff, which helps keep your head, neck, and shoulders in better alignment while you sleep. That means less pressure and strain, especially if you're already dealing with pain.

They don’t sink unevenly or lose shape overnight, so you’re not constantly waking up sore. It’s not a cure, but a good latex pillow creates the right kind of environment, letting your body recover without making things worse.

In a lot of ways, yes. Latex side sleeper pillows are better at cooling, more responsive and supportive, and last longer than memory foam.

Memory foam side sleeper pillows tend to feel stuffy and slow to respond. They also hold onto heat, which can make you feel warmer at night.

Plus, if you go with organic latex, you’re avoiding the chemicals and synthetic materials found in memory foam, making it a healthier, more eco-friendly option overall.

When it’s brand new, you might notice a light, vanilla-like scent. That’s just the natural smell of latex. It’s not toxic or chemical like the scent of memory foam, and it usually fades within a few days. Just airing the pillow out for a bit will help it clear up faster.

We recommend adding one, yes. It helps protect your latex pillow from spills, stains, and everyday wear, keeping it fresher for longer. Go with something breathable, like an organic cotton cover or bamboo cover, so you don’t lose that cool feel latex is known for.

Nope. The cuboid pillow doesn’t need any fluffing. It’s a single solid piece of latex foam that holds its shape on its own. No squishing or refluffing needed.

Yes, no problem at all. Our cuboid pillow works great on adjustable beds. They stay supportive whether you're lying flat or propped up. And they’re dense enough to hold their shape under a weighted blanket, without getting crushed.

Look for certifications that are trusted and verified. The big ones are -

    • GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard): This tells you the latex is organic and sustainably sourced.
    • GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): Covers the fabric, like organic cotton and wool, and ensures it’s processed without harmful chemicals.
    • eco-INSTITUT and GREENGUARD Gold: These make sure the pillow is low in VOCs and safe for indoor air quality.
    • OEKO-TEX Standard 100: Verifies that the materials are tested for harmful substances, even if they’re not organic.

If a latex side sleeper pillow has a mix of these, you’re getting one of the best there is.
