Some things should be simple, like a good night’s sleep. That's why we created our Organic Latex Pillow - a simple take on a simple need. Made with GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex, it's molded into the classic pillow design that we all know and love. In addition, it's perforated for breathable cooling, responsive for proper support, cushioning for excellent pressure relief, and durable for long-lasting comfort. Every latex pillow comes with a thin, protective organic cotton cover with a zipper, making early maintenance a breeze.
Just as a good mattress supports the body and a cozy blanket comforts the soul, a well-made pillow holds the head, neck, and spine in unison, ensuring both remain comfortable throughout the night. The Organic Latex Pillow does exactly that, and some more. It's a quick, affordable addition that makes a huge difference in how you sleep and how the next day goes.
We also have a shredded latex pillow (in a zippered cover) if you crave a natural remedy to the down-alternative pillow feeling. Unlike other shredded latex pillows, ours is finely shredded to give you the luxury feeling of softness and head cradling support.
Latex is a naturally breathable material. Its internal structure is open-celled, which allows air to flow through it much more freely than in memory foam pillows. Additionally, we've added small holes (perforations) to improve airflow capacity. All of this, together, leads to great moisture and heat dissipation properties in our latex pillow, making sure you sleep cool.
Latex pillows are highly responsive and contouring, giving you instant bounce-back when you lay your head down or shift around. The level of comfort stays consistent the whole way through. There’s none of that uneven sinkage you often get with cheaper pillows. And since organic latex is built to last (up to five years or more), these pillows won’t compress too soon. They hold up way longer than most others out there.
For side sleepers, our firm, high-loft latex pillow fills the space between your head, neck, and shoulder, keeping everything cushioned and held up right. For back sleepers, our medium, mid-loft latex pillow gives just the right amount of support so your head doesn’t sink in too far or sit too high. And for stomach sleepers, our soft, mid-loft latex pillow keeps your neck from cranking at a weird angle and helps you stay more aligned through the night. If you're combining positions, we recommend a medium, mid-loft pillow.
Latex is a milky white sap tapped from rubber trees. That sap gets whipped, poured into molds, and baked using the Dunlop method - a process that gives our pillows their dense, supportive feel. Compared to Talalay latex, Dunlop is firmer and requires less energy to produce. Its higher density also makes it more durable. And because we use GOLS-certified organic latex, you're getting a material that’s not just comfortable, but also clean and sustainable, making it better for the planet from start to finish.
For touch and texture, we wrap our latex pillows in the finest organic cotton casing (zippered for convenience). And yes, it’s fully organic. Every step of the process, from planting and growing to harvesting and processing, follows strict organic standards approved by GOTS. By avoiding toxic herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers, these farming methods support healthier soil, safer conditions for farm workers, lower water use, and a better end product for you.
We highly recommend adding a pillow protector to keep your latex pillow safe and secure, away from airborne impurities, allergens (like dust mites), liquid spills, hard-to-remove stains, and the like. For the Organic Latex Pillow, our top recommendation is the Organic Cotton Sateen Zippered Pillow Protector Cover. It's undyed and unbleached, made with soft 400 thread count sateen weave cotton.
Looking to partner up our latex pillows with a mattress? Look no further than our latex mattresses. We've got a wide collection - from all-foam to hybrid, DIY, Bigg+, and flippable designs. Every mattress uses natural latex foam, combined with top-notch organic materials like cotton, wool, and recycled steel. If you love our pillows, you're sure to love our mattresses.
Pro-Tip: Turmerry pillows are much easier to maintain if protected with an outer cover. We recommend using washable covers to make the maintenance process much easier for you.
Try these (they fit best!) -
Spot-clean in case of spillage - If you spill anything on the pillow, do not wash it in a machine, as it isn't machine washable. All you have to do is obtain a sponge and gently spot-clean the liquid-stained area with water and mild detergent. Make sure to fully dry it before putting the cover back on and resuming use.
Avoid long-term exposure to sunlight/heat - Our pillows should not be exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Exposure to severe heat above 85 degrees Fahrenheit should also be avoided. As the pillows are made from latex, excessive sunlight or heat can lead to a breakdown in the integrity of the material, reducing its lifespan.
Handle with care - If proper care isn't practiced when handling our pillows, they may rip or tear. Be gentle when taking them out of the packaging; place them with care on your mattress. They may also absorb dust/dirt easily, depending on where you live, and could become difficult to clean if left unprotected (without a cover).
Clean regularly - Vacuum the pillow's surface every month or so. Avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills/stains immediately. All of these steps can lead to a long-lasting pillow.
Latex is the white, milky sap harvested from rubber trees. It’s turned into foam and used in pillows, mattresses, mattress toppers, bedding, etc., for its comfort and durability. What makes latex stand out is that it’s a natural, renewable material, especially when it’s certified organic (by GOLS, OEKO-TEX). Rubber trees can be tapped for years without being cut down, which makes latex a more sustainable choice compared to synthetic foams made from petroleum.
The different types of latex are -
When someone says "latex," they're not necessarily talking about the natural stuff from rubber trees. It could be synthetic, blended, or natural – the term alone doesn't tell you much.
If a product is labeled "organic latex" or "natural latex," don't just take their word for it. Ask to see certifications that prove its purity. Companies that use genuine organic/natural latex are usually happy to display their certifications, as they take pride in the quality.
An organic latex pillow is made from natural rubber tree sap and processed without harsh chemicals, harmful substances, or synthetic additives. Regular pillows, like memory foam and polyester, are usually made from petroleum-based materials and often treated with chemicals to obtain their properties.
Organic latex pillows are naturally breathable, responsive, supportive, and pressure relieving - no added chemicals needed. They’re also more durable and hold their shape way longer. Plus, since organic latex comes from certified locations that follow eco-friendly practices, you're getting a product that's better for your health and the planet.
Organic latex pillows can hold up for about three to five years. With proper care, they could last even longer. They don’t flatten out and lose shape the way cheaper synthetic pillows do. The natural resilience of latex keeps the pillow comfortable night after night, without that early sag you get with most regular pillows.
No, don’t put your latex pillow in the washing machine. Soaking it in water or tossing it in a wash cycle can damage the foam and break it down over time.
If it needs cleaning, spot-clean only. Here’s how -
Mix a little mild detergent with warm water. Dip a clean cloth/sponge in the solution, gently blot the stain, and avoid rubbing too hard. Then, use another damp cloth/sponge to wipe away any soap residue. Let the pillow air dry completely, but keep it out of direct sunlight.
To keep it cleaner longer, we recommend using a pillow protector.
Here are the best latex pillow options for different sleeping positions -
It depends on what you like in a pillow. Shredded latex is made from very small pieces of latex foam, which makes the pillow more adjustable and moldable. You can fluff it, scrunch it, or even remove some fill to get the exact height and feel you want. It’s great if you like a softer, more customizable pillow.
Solid latex, on the other hand, gives you a more consistent shape and feel. It’s bouncier, responsive, and tends to hold its structure better over time - ideal if you like a pillow that stays in place without shifting around.
A Dunlop latex core and a Talalay latex core are made differently and feel different as a result. Dunlop latex is made by whipping natural rubber sap into a froth, pouring it into a mold all at once, and baking it. As it bakes, the heavier particles settle toward the bottom, which gives Dunlop a denser feel. It’s more energy-efficient and produces a durable foam that offers strong support, which is why we use it in our pillows.
Talalay latex goes through a few extra steps. After the sap is poured into the mold, it’s partially filled, then vacuum-sealed to evenly distribute the foam. It’s flash-frozen, then baked. This process creates a fluffier latex with soft density that feels more airy and plush. But it also takes more energy and resources to produce.
If you like more support and durability, a Dunlop latex pillow is the way to go. If you prefer more cushioning and consistency, a Talalay latex pillow might be more your style.
No. Our organic latex pillow actually sleeps cool. Latex has an open-cell structure, which means air can move through it more freely than with dense, synthetic foams like memory foam. On top of that, we add small perforations throughout the pillow to boost airflow even more. This helps heat and moisture escape instead of getting trapped inside.
The pillow cover matters, too. Ours is made from breathable organic cotton, which doesn’t trap heat like polyester blends often do.
All in all, organic latex is temperature-neutral, which means it doesn’t overheat or feel too cold. It just stays comfortably cool throughout the night, especially compared to memory foam and other conventional pillows that trap body heat.
Yes. Latex pillows offer solid support without being too stiff, which helps keep your head, neck, and shoulders in better alignment while you sleep. That means less pressure and strain, especially if you're already dealing with pain.
They don’t sink unevenly or lose shape overnight, so you’re not constantly waking up sore. It’s not a cure, but a good latex pillow creates the right kind of environment, letting your body recover without making things worse.
In a lot of ways, yes. Latex pillows are better at cooling, more responsive and supportive, and last longer than memory foam.
Memory foam pillows tend to feel stuffy and slow to respond. They also hold onto heat, which can make you feel warmer at night.
Plus, if you go with organic latex, you’re avoiding the chemicals and synthetic materials found in memory foam, making it a healthier, more eco-friendly option overall.
When it’s brand new, you might notice a light, vanilla-like scent. That’s just the natural smell of latex. It’s not toxic or chemical like the scent of memory foam, and it usually fades within a few days. Just airing the pillow out for a bit will help it clear up faster.
We recommend adding one, yes. It helps protect your latex pillow from spills, stains, and everyday wear, keeping it fresher for longer. Go with something breathable, like an organic cotton cover or bamboo cover, so you don’t lose that cool feel latex is known for.
Nope. The organic latex pillow doesn’t need any fluffing. It’s a single solid piece of latex foam that holds its shape on its own. No squishing or refluffing needed.
Yes, no problem at all. Latex pillows work great on adjustable beds. They stay supportive whether you're lying flat or propped up. And they’re dense enough to hold their shape under a weighted blanket, without getting crushed.
Look for certifications that are trusted and verified. The big ones are -
If a latex pillow has a mix of these, you’re getting one of the best there is.
