This one's our bestseller for a reason. It's a 7-zone Dunlop latex mattress that supports different parts of your body differently, with balanced firmness under the hips and lower back, and softer cushioning under the shoulders and thighs. Works for all sleeping positions, comes in multiple firmness options. If you're not sure where to start, start here.
Talalay latex on top, Leggett & Platt pocketed coils underneath. The coils move independently, so if your partner tosses and turns at 2 am, you won't feel much. You get the pressure relief of latex with the bounce, edge support, and airflow that coils bring. Couples love this one.
The egg-crate surface spreads your weight evenly and contours closely to your body, taking pressure off the hips, shoulders, joints, and other pressure points. There's also better airflow and a light massaging sensation that most people don't expect but really appreciate. Wake up stiff most mornings? This is the one to look at.
One mattress, two firmness levels. Medium or Firm on one side, Firm or Extra-Firm on the other. Your comfort needs change over time, and instead of buying a whole new mattress when that happens, you just flip it over. Basically, two mattresses for the price of one.
Most RV mattresses are thin, cheap foam that you'd never sleep on at home. Our RV mattress is built with the same certified organic latex as our classic 7-zone mattresses, just cut to fit the non-standard frames in RVs and campers. Same great sleep, whether you're home or on the road.
A hybrid with a zippered cover, 7-zone latex layers on top, and a TPS Quadcoil support core at the bottom. You can easily unzip and swap the layers out. Most hybrid mattresses are sealed shut, so you just have to make do with what you get. This one gives you full control instead. It's your bed, after all!
Most standard mattresses aren't built for heavier sleepers, breaking down way faster than they should. The Bigg+ is different. It has three extra-firm support layers and one customizable comfort layer. Rated to hold up to 1,100 lbs., it's built to last and built to support.
Kids sleep more than adults, which means what they sleep on matters more than most parents realize. The Organic Kids Mattress is sized for children and teens, certified organic throughout, and built to support growing bodies without any synthetic foams or harmful chemicals.
Latex mattresses stand out as a top choice for anyone prioritizing their well-being today. Here’s why it can be your best ally for healthier sleep:
Latex is renowned for its allergy-friendly properties. It naturally resists dust mites, mold, mildew, and other allergens, making it an excellent option for allergy sufferers. The absence of harmful levels of synthetic chemicals in the production process also limits off-gassing, ensuring you breathe cleaner air while you sleep.
The unique buoyancy of latex foam ensures a wonderful balance of comfort and support, adapting seamlessly to your body’s contours. This tailored support helps ease pressure points and promote proper spinal alignment, which can significantly reduce discomfort, enhancing the quality of your sleep.
Latex mattresses are known for their durability. They maintain their shape for 15-20 years or more with good care, making them a cost-effective long-term investment in your health. Additionally, the eco-friendly nature of latex aligns with eco-conscious consumer values. Turmerry’s commitment to quality and sustainable practices ensures that your mattress is as good for the planet as it is for you.
The natural breathability of latex also plays a pivotal role in temperature regulation. Unlike memory foam, natural latex does not retain heat; instead, it facilitates air circulation through its open-cell structure and perforations, keeping you cool throughout the night. For hot sleepers, Turmerry latex mattresses offer an undeniable advantage for restful sleep.
Latex naturally absorbs and isolates motion, meaning movements on one side of the bed are less likely to disturb the other. This benefits couples, allowing both partners to move without disrupting each other’s sleep.
Every Turmerry mattress ships free and comes with a 120-night trial and up to 20 years of warranty. Plenty of time to know for sure it's the right one, and long-term coverage if anything goes wrong.
Over the years, we've strived to bring you the finest-quality eco-friendly mattresses at affordable prices. Each Turmerry bed features latex foam at its core, sustainably sourced from rubber trees grown without harmful chemicals, and manufactured to the highest possible organic standard (≥95%).
To assure you of our dedication to your safety and health, as well as our planet's health, we've obtained certifications from trusted third-party institutions, including Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), OEKO-TEX, eco-INSTITUT, FSC, and LGA. They've made sure that what we put in our mattresses doesn't contain harmful levels of chemicals, is deemed safe for human health, and is of the highest quality.
When searching for the best latex mattress, knowing your ideal firmness level is important for a restful night's sleep, and your preferred sleeping position can play a role in it.
We offer a variety of firmness levels at Turmerry, from soft to extra-firm, designed to cater to every type of sleeper. Whether you are a side, back, stomach, or combination sleeper, there is a perfect match in our collection!
The perfect latex mattress for you will always depend on these factors. Add them to your checklist, if you have one:
The firmness, thickness, and size of your latex bed are all determined by your preferences.
Start with your sleeping position. Side sleepers need softer mattresses, ideally around 8 inches thick. Back sleepers (and combo sleepers) need medium-firm mattresses, ideally around 10 inches thick. Stomach sleepers need firmer mattresses, ideally around 12 inches thick.
Account for your weight next. If you're a lightweight sleeper (below 130 lbs.), a soft latex mattress is recommended. Around 8 inches should be good. If you're an average-weight sleeper (between 130-230 lbs.), a medium-firm latex mattress is recommended. Around 10 inches works best. If you're a heavyweight sleeper (above 230 lbs.), a firm latex mattress suits you better. Go for 12 inches.
If you sleep with a partner, the mattress will need to handle both your weights. A 10-12 inch thickness is recommended for that. Medium-firm is the most balanced feel for most couples, but if your needs differ widely, a split-firmness setup (split king or split queen) lets each side be configured independently.
Speaking of which, the size of your mattress also depends on how many sleepers it supports. If you're sleeping alone, a full latex mattress is more spacious, and a twin latex mattress is more budget-friendly. If you share the bed, you'll need a queen-size or king-size latex mattress.
Under $500 is mostly low-density foam that starts sagging within a couple of years. The $800 to $1,500 range covers most solid latex and hybrid options with decent build quality. Above $1,500, you get thicker comfort layers, unique designs, bigger sizes, and other such features.
Latex costs more upfront than memory foam and innerspring, but a quality latex mattress lasts 15 to 20 years. A cheap memory foam mattress at $600, replaced every 6 years, costs more over two decades than a $1,200 latex mattress bought once. It's the best mattress for the money.
If you sleep hot, latex is a better choice than memory foam because of its open-cell structure and perforations. Even better if the mattress has wool layers, as it's temperature regulating.
If you share the bed with a restless sleeper, motion isolation matters, and latex handles that very well.
If you have back pain or joint issues, a latex mattress with zoned support and improved pressure relief should be at the top of your list.
If you travel in an RV, you'll need a custom size for your non-standard frame. Essentially, your lifestyle narrows the options faster than any buying guide can.
A 60-year-old back sleeper with lumbar issues and a 25-year-old side sleeper are going to experience the same mattress very differently. So, look for reviews that match your situation. If you're a side sleeper with hip pain, find reviews from other side sleepers with hip pain.
Filter for your sleeping position and body type, and also by main concern, whether that be heat retention, motion transfer, pain relief, etc.
Pay attention to what people say after 6 to 12 months of use, not just the first few weeks. That's when most issues tend to show up in low-quality beds, if they're going to.
And last but not least, see what the reviews are saying about the brand's customer service. Prompt responses to any issues faced are a sign that you're buying from a trustworthy company.
Visiting a store first is worth doing if you've never slept on latex before. Feeling the difference between soft, medium, and firm in person takes at most 20 minutes and saves you a lot of second-guessing later. The downside is that in-store selection is limited and prices are higher to cover showroom costs.
Once you know what firmness range works for you, buy online. Better pricing, wider selection, free shipping, no pressure tactics, free white glove delivery, and trial periods of 90 to 120 nights that let you test the mattress properly at home rather than on a showroom floor for 5 minutes.
GOLS certifies that the latex contains at least 95% certified organic raw material, which rules out synthetic or blended latex being passed off as natural. GOTS covers textile components such as fabric covers and wool, confirming that they are organic as well.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tests the finished mattress for over 1,000 harmful substances and confirms it falls within safe limits for human contact.
GREENGUARD Gold and eco-INSTITUT independently test for chemical emissions and residues, including pesticides, formaldehyde, and volatile organic compounds, and set strict limits on chemical emissions.
A mattress without at least one of these certifications and claiming to be organic/natural is often making a marketing claim with nothing behind it.
A trial period of at least 60-90 nights is the minimum worth considering. Your body can take anywhere from 1 day to 4 weeks to adjust to a new mattress. 60 to 90 nights is enough time to sleep through the adjustment period and know with confidence whether you're keeping it.
For the warranty, read what it covers so that there are no surprises later down the line. Look for warranties that cover at least 10 years and are clear about what qualifies as a defect.
For returns, check the process before you buy. Look for a clear, straightforward return policy with a full refund. The easier the process is to understand upfront, the less you'll have to worry about if you ever need to use it.
Some latex mattresses have zippered covers that let you access and swap internal layers. If your firmness preference changes over time, you can adjust the mattress instead of replacing it.
Turmerry latex mattresses work this way. The cover unzips, and you can add/remove latex layers to make the mattress firmer or softer without buying a new one. That kind of flexibility is useful when you're buying something you plan to sleep on for 15 to 20 years.
