The firmness, thickness, and size of your latex bed are all determined by your preferences.
Start with your sleeping position. Side sleepers need softer mattresses, ideally around 8 inches thick. Back sleepers (and combo sleepers) need medium-firm mattresses, ideally around 10 inches thick. Stomach sleepers need firmer mattresses, ideally around 12 inches thick.
Account for your weight next. If you're a lightweight sleeper (below 130 lbs.), a soft latex mattress is recommended. Around 8 inches should be good. If you're an average-weight sleeper (between 130-230 lbs.), a medium-firm latex mattress is recommended. Around 10 inches works best. If you're a heavyweight sleeper (above 230 lbs.), a firm latex mattress suits you better. Go for 12 inches.
If you sleep with a partner, the mattress will need to handle both your weights. A 10-12 inch thickness is recommended for that. Medium-firm is the most balanced feel for most couples, but if your needs differ widely, a split-firmness setup (split king or split queen) lets each side be configured independently.
Speaking of which, the size of your mattress also depends on how many sleepers it supports. If you're sleeping alone, a full latex mattress is more spacious, and a twin latex mattress is more budget-friendly. If you share the bed, you'll need a queen-size or king-size latex mattress.
