So you bought a mattress that felt great for six months, and now there’s sagging in the middle, making it really uncomfortable. Many of our customers have been there, and what they needed was a good Turmerry mattress that won't sag so quickly. We make our mattresses with the highest-grade organic Dunlop latex, one of the most durable mattress materials on the market right now. It can last 15-20 years without sagging. And we back that up with a warranty of up to 20 years! Try it with our risk-free 120-day trial period.
The most common cause is the foam itself. Most budget mattresses use low-density polyfoam that compresses under body weight over time and never fully bounces back.
The same goes for traditional memory foam. It's designed to contour to your body, but the slow-response material gradually loses its ability to recover, leaving permanent impressions where you sleep most. The heavier the sleeper and the more concentrated the pressure, the faster this happens.
The other places where mattresses sag early are at the edges. Conventional mattresses have little to no reinforcement around the sides, so they give way before the center does. Once the edges go, the usable sleep surface shrinks. Getting in and out of bed also becomes harder.
At Turmerry, we use zippered mattress covers that give you full access to the internal layers.
Advantage #1: You can easily rearrange the layers top to bottom to change the feel. You can also flip the layers inside the mattress to even out pressure on one spot.
Advantage #2: If a layer ever softens after years of use, you don't have to replace the whole mattress. Unzip the cover, remove the worn-out layer, and replace it with a new one.
This design pretty much extends the life of your bed. Instead of buying a brand-new mattress every few years, you can maintain your current one for a fraction of the cost.
We offer affordable latex mattress toppers that are designed to fit perfectly inside our mattresses. They're 7-zoned, just like our classic all-latex mattress.
While memory foam mattresses are famous for their hugging feel, they're the most prone to permanent body indentations as the chemical bonds break down. Innerspring mattresses offer a traditional bounce but lack the comfort layers needed for pressure relief. Organic latex sits in the sweet spot, providing the durability of a heavy-duty mattress with the contouring support that's right for your body.

While a high-quality mattress is built to last, how you support and maintain it decides if it reaches its full lifespan. Even the most durable materials need the right amount of care:
The number one cause of a mattress sagging early is an incompatible bed frame. If your slats are too far apart (more than 3 inches), the latex will eventually press through the gaps, ruining its structure.
Make sure you use a solid platform or a slatted base with a center support leg that touches the floor. This provides a rigid surface for the mattress, keeping it perfectly level.
Slatted bases are recommended because they allow more airflow through the gaps between the slats. Latex mattresses also work great on adjustable bases, if you prefer more flexibility.
Avoid box springs. They're mostly suited for traditional innerspring mattresses. Using them for latex can void the warranty.
Even with high-density latex, sleeping in the exact same spot every night for years can cause uneven wear. We recommend rotating your mattress 180 degrees every 3 to 6 months. It redistributes your body weight across the entire surface, allowing the mattress to maintain its original shape.
Moisture is the silent enemy of mattress durability. Over time, sweat and humidity can seep into the layers, causing them to soften prematurely. And who knows when a spill can occur when you're on the bed with a cup of coffee?
Using a breathable, waterproof mattress protector keeps the internal latex core dry. It won't interfere with the mattress's cooling because it's breathable, and it'll also make maintenance much easier, as you'd only have to wash/clean the protector once in a while.
We provide the zippered mattress covers so you have full control over your mattresses. Periodically flipping/rearranging the internal layers ensures that no single side takes 100% of the pressure for a decade straight.
And if you ever feel excessive softening in the top layer after years of use, don't forget that you can swap it for a fresh latex topper to instantly restore the feel of a brand-new bed.
Every mattress has a specific weight capacity. Do not exceed it.
Additionally, if you are using a standard bed frame for a high-density mattress like the Bigg+, you must ensure the frame itself is rated for that load.
Check your bed frame’s center support once in a while. If the middle leg isn't touching the floor or the slats are bowing, your mattress will follow that curve and appear to sag, even if the latex itself is perfectly fine.
Proper cleaning and airing out are the final steps in preventing premature sagging. Every few months, remove all bedding and let the mattress breathe for a few hours to evaporate any deep-seated moisture.
If you need to remove any spills/stains, spot-clean only with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Never soak the latex layers in water or machine wash them, as internal moisture can break down the material.
